Akuma-Kun Anime by Shigeru Mizuki Delivers New Visuals in Dark Atmosphere

Shigeru Mizuki‘s Akuma-Kun spooky manga series is going to be adapted into a TV Anime Series. It is a Spooky and Supernatural manga series. The series is quite famous and Akuma Kun was also adapted into a Live-Action Film. Furthermore, today the creators of anime release their new visual and returning cast of the returning 1989 TV anime series. Do you know why Akuma-Kun is re-making their anime? Well, it is the celebration of Shigeru Mizuki’s (the born the year 1922) 100th Birth Anniversary.

In March 2022, creators of Akuma-Kun are going to organize “Shigeru Mizuki’s 100th Birthday Celebration” and there they will reveal other cast members of upcoming anime. Furthermore, the first visual of the anime was revealed this Saturday at the “Gegege-ki 2021” event.

Cast of Akuma-kun 

The Chief Director of Akuma-Kun anime is Junichi Sato who is known for his Sailor Moon anime. Moreover,  Fumitoshi Ozaki is going to be the series director (famous for A Centaur’s Life and Romeo x Juliet). The fact is the director of the first Akuma-Kun TV anime and its other two films are also directed by Junichi Sato. 

About Akuma-kun

The manga follows the story of a starring boy named Akuma-Kun. Moreover, Akuma-Kun reincarnates every 10,000 years. After reincarnation, he always tries to create a world that is free from conflict, strife, and hunger by harnessing the power of demons.

The original story was created in 1963 by Shigeru Mizuki‘. After that, the manga was published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and ran from 1966 to 1967. Furthermore, the manga was adapted into an anime by Toei Animation.
