It was announced on the official Twitter accounts of HJ Bunko and Comic Fire that an animation project is underway for Fumiko Teshima’s novel “I, the Demon King, married a slave elf, but how should I love her?”
This work is the story of Zagan, a magician who has great magical power and is considered to be the next candidate for the 13 “demon lords” in the world, and Nephi, a slave elf girl whom he bought at an auction.
It depicts how the clumsy and poor-spoken Zagan is troubled as he narrows the distance between Nephi and her. A manga version drawn by Hako Itagaki is being serialized in Comic Fire.
Volume 16 of the novel and volume 9 of the manga version will be released on November 1st. Also on November 1st, the first volume of Momo Futaba’s spin-off, “I can’t see the cunning knight, but how can I take care of him? ~Madome Gaiden~” will be released. Stay tuned for more information about the anime adaptation.
Zagan is a super powerful sorcerer, but lives as a recluse. And now he faces his greatest test… falling in love!
Zagan is feared by the masses as an evil sorcerer. Both socially awkward and foulmouthed, he spends his days studying sorcery while beating down any trespassers within his domain.
One day he’s invited to a dark auction, and what he finds there is an elven slave girl of peerless beauty, Nephy. Having fallen in love at first sight, Zagan uses up his entire fortune to purchase her, but being a poor conversationalist, he has no idea how to properly interact with her.
Thus, the awkward cohabitation of a sorcerer who has no idea how to convey his love and his slave who yearns for her master but has no idea how to appeal to him begins.J-Novel Club
