Players will get to shake maracas to the beat, just like in the popular 2000’s version. The Apple Arcade edition offers exclusive content, including three songs: PSY’s “DADDY (feat. CL),” Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory,” and “The Walker” from Fitz and the Tantrums. Additionally, it introduces a first-ever Story Mode, where players join Amigo on a quest to reclaim music.
Boasting more than 40 hit songs across various music genres, with even more songs planned for post-launch, Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go promises to deliver a dynamic and unique twist to the classic rhythm game experience.
Notably, Sega will launch the Samba de Amigo: Party Central game for Nintendo Switch on the same day, August 29. Furthermore, they have exciting plans for the Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2, and Meta Quest Pro, with the release scheduled for fall. These versions will also feature over 40 songs and post-launch DLC.
It’s worth mentioning that the original Samba de Amigo rhythm arcade game made its debut in Japan in December 1999, followed by a North American release in March 2000. The game’s popularity led to subsequent releases on Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo Wii platforms.
