Kodansha’s K MANGA service recently introduced Arako Toaru’s latest manga, “Never Say Ugly” (Busu Nante Iwanaide), just last week.
The storyline follows Tomoko, who was labeled “ugly” during her school years.

What fuels her anger even more is the realization that Rika, the “pretty” girl who tormented her, has now achieved success as a beauty influencer. However, Tomoko perceives an entirely different world when she looks into Rika’s eyes.
These two women, each with distinct pasts, appearances, and approaches, bravely confront the world in this tale of sisterhood and triumph over beauty discrimination.
Toaru commenced the manga’s serialization in &Sofa in November 2021. The third compiled volume of the manga was released by Kodansha on July 21.

Furthermore, Toaru initiated the manga “Bijin ga Kon Katsu Shite Mitara” (When a beautiful woman attempts marriage hunting.) on the V Comi web manga app back in July 2016. The manga served as the inspiration for a live-action film in 2019.
