Azusa Itakura’s “Ripe for the Picking” Manga Set for Live-Action TV Adaptation

In the combined issue of Houbunsha’s Weekly Manga Times magazine on October 20th and 27th of this year, exciting news was revealed. Azusa Itakura’s manga, “Ripe for the Picking” (Uri o Waru), is set to make its debut as a live-action television series.

This highly anticipated show is scheduled to air on TBS’ Drama Stream block every Tuesday.

Available in English on NTT Solmare Corp’s MangaPlaza digital service, “Ripe for the Picking” presents a captivating narrative. It revolves around Maiko Kousaka, a 32-year-old woman who grapples with insecurities due to her lack of romantic experience.

Despite her age, she has kept a well-guarded secret—she’s still a virgin. Fueled by her desperation to change her circumstances, Maiko embarks on a journey to take control of her romantic life.
