The official social media accounts of the Beastars franchise and the official Twitter accounts of the animation studio Orange have jointly published an updated logo for the Beastars anime adaptation confirming that the next sequel to the television anime will be the last and will be announced as the final season.

The series premiered in December 2019 in Japan on Fuji TV’s Ultra + block and also aired on Netflix exclusively outside of Japan as of March 2020 with two seasons broadcast. Studio Orange and Netflix previously confirmed that a “new anime arc” was in production earlier this summer, but had not specified the format at the time.

The manga is published by Viz Media in the US and is described as such:
One night at Cherryton Academy, a herbivorous student is brutally murdered. Among members of the Drama Club, herbivores’ suspicions naturally turn to their fellow carnivores … The prime suspect? Gray wolf Legoshi. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Or would he? Will Haru the dwarf rabbit bring out the beast in him? Or is his feelings for her… something else?
