Fans of the fantasy genre are in for a treat with a plethora of new updates about the highly anticipated anime, “Berserk of Gluttony.” Freshly released details include a tantalizing teaser visual, an immersive trailer, a significant addition to the cast, and the performers for the theme songs.
Hisako Tojo, known for her role as Vera in “Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-,” is joining the voice cast alongside prominent actors Tomokazu Seki and Ryota Osaka. Tojo will lend her voice to the character of Holy Knight Roxy, and fans can hear the trio’s performance in the newly released trailer.

Adding to the musical ensemble of the show, rock unit EverdreaM, famed for their work on “Rokudo’s Bad Girls,” has been chosen to perform both the opening and ending theme songs for “Berserk of Gluttony.”
“Berserk of Gluttony” is adapted from the light novel series by acclaimed authors Ichika Isshiki and Fame. Tetsuya Yanagisawa, recognized for his directorial work on “ORIENT,” is steering the ship, with ACGT studio providing the animation. Mariko Kunisawa, known for “Ascendance of a Bookworm,” is handling series composition, while Takafumi Furusawa, who has previously worked as the animation director for “EDENS ZERO,” is crafting the character designs.

The globally popular streaming platform, Crunchyroll, unveiled at the Japan Expo that it would be airing the series from October 2023. According to Crunchyroll, the anime follows the transformative journey of Fate, a castle guard in a world where skills dictate one’s life. Fate possesses a peculiar skill known as “Gluttony” that brings him nothing but insatiable hunger, resulting in a rather dispiriting life.
However, everything changes when Fate overcomes bandits sneaking into the castle. The once-mocked and talentless young man embarks on an empowering journey, striving to ascend from the lowest echelons of life to the very top.
The story of “Berserk of Gluttony” is thus set in motion, promising a thrilling tale of self-discovery and personal growth. As we eagerly anticipate the show’s release, these recent updates have certainly whetted the appetite of fantasy anime enthusiasts worldwide.
