On Wednesday, Kadokawa unveiled that NORISTRY and Konomi Suzuki will be lending their musical talents to the upcoming television anime of the Bullbuster franchise. NORISTRY is set to enthrall with the opening theme “Try-ry-ry,” while Konomi Suzuki will mesmerize with the concluding theme, “Gambare to Sakebu tabi” (Every Time You Shout “Do Your Best”).

The anime’s narrative follows Tetsurō Okino, a budding engineer behind the groundbreaking robot, Bullbuster. His journey takes a turn as he joins Hato Industries, a company dedicated to eradicating harmful animals. Here, Tetsurō, along with President Kōji Tajima, faces off against an enigmatic lifeform known as “Kyojū.”

Struggling with perpetual financial constraints, Hato, a modest enterprise, meticulously manages every expense from fuel to pilot wages. Amidst the clash between their Kyōju extermination ideals and economic realities, missed shots prove to be a luxury they can’t afford.
The creative force is attributed to film director Hiroyuki Nakao and P.I.C.S., recognized for their planning and original concept. Architect of manga, Eisaku Kubonouchi (noted for Carole & Tuesday’s original character design), sketched the initial character blueprints.

Steering the anime is Hiroyasu Aoki (renowned for directing Hero Mask), overseeing the series scripts at NUT. Takahisa Katagiri (renowned animation director for FLCL Progressive and Hero Mask) adeptly adapts Kubonouchi’s designs for animation, concurrently holding the mantle of chief animation director. Mechanical ingenuity stems from Junji Okubo (acclaimed for Overlord’s monster design) as the mechanical designer.
