By the Grace of the Gods Anime 2nd Season Confirmed

The official website for author Roy’s anime and illustrator Ririnra’s By the Grace of the Gods light novel series (Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko) announced on Friday that the anime will have a second season. The anime will be set three years after the end of the first season, when Ryoma and Eliaria promise to reunite. Character designer Kaho Deguchi drew the image below to celebrate the announcement.

The anime premiered in Japan in October of last year. Funimation co-produced the anime and streamed it as it aired. Funimation premiered the anime’s first episode during its FunimationCon virtual event in July 2020.

The anime’s website notes that the first season ends with Eliaria leaving for school in the capital and promising to meet Ryōma in three years. It does not specifically say that the second season will begin three years later.
