Cells at Work! Gets New Cells at Work! Muscle Spinoff Manga

Fans of the popular anime and manga series Cells at Work! have a new reason to be excited: a spinoff manga has just been announced! Titled Cells at Work! Muscle, the new series will explore the inner workings of the body’s muscular system.

Cells at Work! has been a fan favorite since its debut in 2015, and has since spawned an anime adaptation, video games, and a stage play. The series follows anthropomorphized cells as they carry out their daily tasks in the human body, with a focus on the immune system.

In Cells at Work! Muscle, readers will get to meet a new cast of characters who work in the body’s muscular system. The manga will explore the unique challenges faced by muscle cells, such as the buildup of lactic acid during exercise and the repair of muscle tissue after injury.

The series will be written by Akane Shimizu, the creator of the original Cells at Work! manga. The art will be handled by Kanie, an up-and-coming artist who has previously worked on the manga adaptation of the anime series Kakegurui.
