What makes this achievement even more notable is the fact that “KICK BACK” is the opening theme for the popular TV anime series “Chainsaw Man.” This marks Yonezu’s first anime theme work in five years since “Peace Sign,” the opening theme for My Hero Academia’s second season first cour.
The song “KICK BACK” was written and composed by Yonezu, with co-arrangement by Daiki Tsuneda of King Gnu/millennium parade. The music video for the song, directed by Yoshiyuki Okuyama, features Yonezu and Tsuneda doing muscle training exercises before an unexpected twist takes place.
