Charming Hokkaido Girls: Exciting TV Anime Set for January 2024 Debut

On Monday, manga cafe Wing’s official Twitter account shared an enticing photo featuring the 11th compiled volume of Kai Ikada’s charming manga, Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! (Dosanko Gal wa Namaramenkoi).

The volume’s wraparound jacket band unveils an exciting announcement—the manga will be adapted into a television anime, set to premiere in January 2024. Exciting news awaits fans as the 11th volume is scheduled to be shipped on Tuesday.

The anime, originally scheduled to premiere this year, has undergone some exciting changes. Mirai Minato, known for directing Masamune-kun’s Revenge and BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense., takes on the role of chief director, as well as overseeing the series scripts.

Bringing their expertise as an episode director for Laid-Back Camp and The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, Misuzu Hoshino leads the direction of the anime at SILVER LINK. and BLADE. Meanwhile, Katsuyuki Sato, known for their work on My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex and Fire in His Fingertips -My Childhood Friend is a Fireman-, showcases their talent by designing captivating characters for the series.

Ayane Sakura is set to take on the role of Minami Fuyuki, the leading female character, while Nobunaga Shimazaki will portray Tsubasa Shiki.

Tsubasa, a high school student, relocates to Kitami City nestled in Hokkaido. It is here that he encounters a captivating “gal” at a bus stop. Despite the frigid winter, she stands alone in the pristine snowscape, bare-legged, leaving a lasting impression on his heart. Ikada debuted their manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app in September 2019, initiating its publication journey.
