Comic book enthusiasts in India have something to look forward to in 2023! The official Instagram account of Comic Con India has announced the dates for their Hyderabad event on April 26, 2023. The Hyderabad Comic Con will be a two-day convention and will be held at HITEX on October 14-15, 2023.
Comic Con India (CCI) is a series of annual comic-based conventions held in India. The first edition was held in New Delhi in 2011, and since then, it has expanded to other major cities in India such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. These conventions have become the go-to event for comic book fans, cosplayers, gamers, and pop culture enthusiasts.
The founder and managing director of Comic Con India, Jatin Varma, launched the first comic con in India in Delhi in 2011. He saw an opportunity to bring together the growing community of comic book fans in India and create a platform for them to come together and celebrate their love for comics, movies, TV shows, and pop culture. Since then, CCI has become a staple event in the Indian pop culture calendar.
In 2014, Comic Con India collaborated with ReedPop, the organizers of the New York Comic Con and the MCM London Comic Con. This partnership has helped CCI to bring in bigger international guests, expand the scope of the convention, and bring in more diverse content.
