Crayon Shin-chan Ninja-themed 30th Film Teaser Trailer Out, April 2022 Release

The Crayon Shin-chan anime franchise today announced that its 30th feature film Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden will open in Japan on April 22, 2022. At the same time, a 30-second trailer and trailer. Images are revealed with the protagonist Shinosuke in ninja suits.

The first anime feature film based on Yoshito Usui’s comedy manga Crayon Shin-chan was released in July 1993. Since then, a new film has been released every April in Japan (only the two recent films moved to September 2020 and July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

Film number 30 is directed by Masakazu Hashimoto (TARI TARI, Soul Eater Not!), Who previously worked on films 21, 23 and 27, based on a script co-written by himself and Kimiko Ueno (The Royal Tutor).

While the detailed plot is currently unknown, the film’s official Twitter account says of its two teaser images: “These images foreshadow the serious truth behind Shinnosuke’s birth.” The teaser trailer begins with the birth scene of the protagonist Shinnosuke Nohara. Suspicions arise that Shinnosuke is not the biological son of the Nohara couple, an action scene is depicted with Shinnosuke dressed in a ninja costume.

Crayon Shin-chan, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshito Usui. Crayon Shin-chan made his first appearance in 1990 in a Japanese weekly magazine called Weekly Manga Action, which was published by Futabasha. Due to the accidental death of author Yoshito Usui, the manga in its original form ended on September 11, 2009. A new manga began in the summer of 2010 by members of Usui’s team, titled New Crayon Shin-chan.

An animated television adaptation began airing on TV Asahi in 1992 and is still ongoing on various television networks around the world. It has more than 1000 episodes and 26 full-length movies. The show has been dubbed into 30 languages and aired in 45 countries. More than 148 million copies of the manga have been sold worldwide, counting 15 countries, making it the ninth best-selling manga series.
