Crunchyroll has announced the introduction of a new batch of much-loved series to its Advertising-based Video on Demand (AVOD) catalogue. From August 1, fans in over 200 countries and territories worldwide will have access to popular titles like Chainsaw Man, SPY x FAMILY, VINLAND SAGA, BLUELOCK, Lycoris Recoil, My Dress-Up Darling, among others.
Asa Suehira, Crunchyroll’s Chief Content Officer, highlighted the company’s commitment to making popular anime titles more accessible. He stated that these additions are part of the service to fans and the 1,000 hours of free content available to offer a taste of the diverse world of anime, cultivate new audiences, and bolster the existing passionate community.

Crunchyroll’s AVOD offerings are available to all users who sign up for a free account, providing the ability to watch these titles for free, albeit with ads. This latest content update complements a library that already houses renowned titles such as Cowboy Bebop, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Horimiya, One Piece, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul, and more.
The titles will be available in English-speaking territories including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, with availability differing in other territories.
The AVOD catalogue expansion on August 1 will include:

- BLUELOCK (8bit): Sub Episodes 1-24, Dub Episodes 1-3

- Chainsaw Man (MAPPA): Sub Episodes 1-12, Dub Episodes 1-3
- Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Sunrise): Sub Episodes 1-25, Dub Episodes 1-3 (Not available in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand)
- The Daily Life of the Immortal King (Haoliners Animation League): Sub Episodes 1-15, Dub Episodes 1-3
- Lycoris Recoil (A-1 Pictures): Sub Episodes 1-12, Dub Episodes 1-3
- Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury (Sunrise): Sub Episodes 0-12, Dub Episodes 0-2
