Anime streaming giant, Crunchyroll, has announced that it is set to exclusively stream the new anime blockbuster, Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO, on its platform starting July 12, 2023. Indian anime fans can look forward to enjoying the film, notably in Hindi dubbed and subtitled versions.

This latest offering from the Dragon Ball franchise is backed by Akira Toriyama, the original creator of Dragon Ball, who has been deeply involved in the film’s development. His creative contributions span the film’s original story, screenplay, and character design, offering a unique and authentic Dragon Ball experience.

A Global Success
Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO marks Crunchyroll’s first globally-distributed theatrical release, having premiered in over 100 countries in 13 dubs and 29 subtitled languages. The film enjoyed widespread acclaim, grossing $96 million worldwide and becoming the 4th-highest grossing anime film in the US.
This film is the second installment in the Dragon Ball Super franchise, succeeding the 2018 worldwide hit, Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO revisits the defeated Red Ribbon Army, with successors crafting ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, who brand themselves as “Super Heroes”.
