Chainsaw Man made its debut in India through Ani-One Asia’s YouTube channel on October 18. Following this, Netflix also began streaming the anime in India starting February 1. Crunchyroll joined in, providing both Japanese audio and an English dub for Indian viewers in February as well.
The anime had a splendid world premiere at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on September 19 and subsequently aired on Japanese TV on October 11.

Ryū Nakayama, known for directing Black Clover and episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen, helmed the anime at MAPPA, while scripts were skillfully written by Hiroshi Seko, renowned for works like Ajin and Attack on Titan The Final Season. The characters were brought to life by Kazutaka Sugiyama, known for designing characters in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, while Tatsuya Yoshihara, with experience directing action in Black Clover and Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls, took charge of directing the thrilling action scenes.
Makoto Nakazono served as the chief technical director, with experience from projects like DARLING in the FRANXX and Little Witch Academia. The devil designs were artfully crafted by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, whose work includes DEVILMAN crybaby and Space Dandy, while Yūsuke Takeda, who contributed to art direction in Eden of the East and Vinland Saga, led the art department. Naomi Nakano handled the vibrant color palettes as the color key artist, and Yohei Miyahara designed the screens. kensuke ushio, known for composing music for DEVILMAN crybaby, Liz and the Blue Bird, and A Silent Voice, added his musical brilliance to the anime.

Fujimoto, the creator of Fire Punch, introduced the Chainsaw Man manga to Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The “Kōan” (Public Safety) arc, its captivating “first part,” concluded in December 2020. Subsequently, the manga’s thrilling “Gakkō-hen” (School Arc) began on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in July 2022.
