Crunchyroll Introduces Girlfriend, Girlfriend 2nd Season

The eagerly anticipated second season of the television anime adaptation of Hiroyuki’s “Girlfriend, Girlfriend” manga is set to premiere in Japan this October.

Audiences can catch it on the Animeism programming block, broadcasted on the MBS and TBS channels.

Crunchyroll provides an enticing glimpse into the upcoming season. Following their rejuvenating hot springs retreat, Naoya finds himself entangled in amorous affairs with both Saki and Nagisa.

Joining the mix are Milika, who once shared a passionate kiss with Naoya, and Shino, whose concealed romantic sentiments for Naoya add another layer of complexity.

Together, they venture into a summer of love, punctuated by a grand fireworks festival, idyllic camping trips, and an excursion to Okinawa. The entrance of Milika’s younger sister, Risa, further ignites the flames of romance in this neo-standard romantic comedy, promising a scintillating second season brimming with swimsuits and summertime allure.

Leading the cast are Junya Enoki as Naoya Mukai, Ayane Sakura as Saki Saki, Azumi Waki as Nagisa Minase, Ayana Taketatsu as Rika Hoshizaki, and Rie Takahashi as Shino Kiryū. While the new season introduces fresh faces and a novel creative team, it also welcomes back some familiar members, ensuring a seamless continuation of the series’ charm.

Hiroyuki’s manga journey began in March 2020 within the pages of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, culminating in its concluding chapter on May 24.
