On Monday, Supersugoii’s official Instagram page announced that Denki Amashima, the artist behind the manga adaptation of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume (Suzume no Tojimari) film, will participate in a “Manga Talk Session” at Rachna Sansad College of Applied Art & Craft. Meanwhile, PVR Pictures revealed on Twitter that tickets for the film’s premiere event are now available for purchase.

The manga adaptation of the film made its debut in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine on October 25. Suzume will hit Indian theaters on April 21, with Shinkai scheduled to participate in an autograph session on April 19. He will also attend the premiere event and engage in a Q&A session with attendees on April 20.
The Hindi dub cast includes Palvi Shetye as Suzume Jr., Dipinti Anil Bhobaskar as Suzume, Surbhi Srivastva as Tamaki, Rajesh Shukla as Souta, Pauravi Pandya as Daijin, Shubham Mullick as Minoru, Ayushi as Chika, Saanwari Yajnik as Rumi, Sparsh Korde as Serizawa, and Mahendra Bhatnagar as Munakata. The film will also screen in Japanese with English subtitles.

Suzume debuted in Japan on November 11, opening at the #1 spot and selling 1.33 million tickets for 1.88 billion yen (roughly US$13.49 million) in its first three days. As of March 26, the film has earned 14,310,602,380 yen (about US$109 million) at the box office.
Surpassing the 14.23 billion yen (about US$108 million) total earnings of Shinkai’s previous film Weathering With You (Tenki no Ko). Suzume now ranks as the 14th highest-grossing film of all time in Japan and the eighth highest-grossing anime film in Japan. Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo ranks above it in both categories, having earned 15.50 billion yen (about US$118 million).
