The official website for the anime adaptation of Kai Ikada’s manga “Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!” (Dosanko Gal wa Namaramenkoi) has revealed a character video and visual spotlighting the heroine, Minami Fuyuki.

Originally set to premiere this year, the series will now make its debut in January 2024.

The cast includes:
- Reina Ueda as Rena Natsukawa
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsubasa Shiki
- Yumiri Hanamori as Sayuri Akino
- Ayane Sakura as Minami Fuyuki

Overseeing both the anime’s direction and series scripts is Mirai Minato, known for works such as “Masamune-kun’s Revenge” and “BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.”
The anime itself is being directed by Misuzu Hoshino, recognized for their role as an episode director on “Laid-Back Camp” and “The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” The animation is a collaboration between SILVER LINK. and BLADE.

Additionally, character design is in the hands of Katsuyuki Sato, who has worked on titles including “My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex” and “Fire in His Fingertips -My Childhood Friend is a Fireman-.”
The manga’s story, published in English on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website, follows high school student Tsubasa, who relocates to Kitami City in Hokkaido. At a bus stop, he encounters a captivating “gal” standing alone amidst the white snow, defying the cold with bare legs.

The manga, launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app in September 2019, recently saw its 11th compiled volume released on July 4th.
