The official website for the TV adaptation of Honobonoru500 and Nama’s light novel series, “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (Saijaku Tamer wa Gomihiroi no Tabi o Hajimemashita.),” announced that Tei is set to perform the ending theme song, titled “because.”

An exclusive early screening event for the first three episodes is scheduled for November 23 at the Science Museum in Tokyo. The event will feature the presence of voice actress Aina Suzuki, who plays the lead character Ivy, director Naoki Horiuchi, and Tei, the artist behind the ending theme. Additionally, Aina Suzuki and Tei will be delivering live performances of the opening and ending theme songs during this special occasion.

The anime’s official premiere is set for January 12, airing on the Tokyo MX and BS Asahi channels at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. EDT), followed by its broadcast on ABC TV on January 13.
Aina Suzuki reprises her role as Ivy, the central character in the series, while Mutsumi Tamura stars as Sora, the lovable slime companion. These roles were originally featured in a previous drama CD adaptation of the franchise.
The creative team includes Shigeyasu Yamauchi as supervising director, with Naoki Horiuchi taking the helm as the anime’s director at Studio Massket. Katsuhiko Takayama is responsible for series composition, and character designs are crafted by Feng Cheng Hu and Yuki Ikeda. Kujira Yumemi is in charge of the music composition, and Lantis is credited for music production.

The captivating tale of “The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash” made its debut on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2018, where it continues to unfold. TO Books embarked on the print publication of this story, embellished with illustrations by Nama, commencing with the first volume in November 2019. The ninth volume of the novel was released by TO Books on June 10, while Seven Seas Entertainment unveiled the fourth novel volume on September 5.

The manga adaptation, crafted by Fukino, made its entrance on TO Books’ web manga platform, Comic Corona, in February 2020. TO Books presented the fifth compiled book volume of the manga on June 15, and Seven Seas Entertainment introduced the third volume of the manga on May 16.
