Mark your calendars because the anime is set to make its highly-anticipated debut on the AT-X channel come October 1st at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 a.m. EDT). But that’s not all, as it will also grace the screens of Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, and Iwate Asahi TV.

Now, let’s delve into the heart of the story, which revolves around the thrilling world of Formula 4 (F4). Kōya Madoka, a freelance photographer, finds himself in the depths of a creative rut, driven by a mysterious cause. His path takes him to the iconic Fuji International Speedway, where he embarks on a new photographic journey. It’s here that he crosses paths with Haruka Asahina, the high school F4 racer.

In an unexpected turn of events, Madoka’s heart begins to race, reawakening emotions he had long buried. From this moment onward, he becomes an unwavering pillar of support for Haruka and the ambitious “Komaki Motors” youth team, all in the pursuit of helping Haruka achieve his cherished dreams.

The anime stars:

  • Tasuku Hatanaka as Kotarō Komaki
  • Anan Furuya as Haruka Asahina
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Kōya Madoka
  • Taku Yashiro as Toshiki Tokumaru
  • Reina Ueda as Arisu Mitsugawa
  • Kengo Kawanishi as Satsuki Harunaga

Kadokawa and TROYCA share credit for the original concept. Ei Aoki, known for works like Fate/Zero, Aldnoah.Zero, Girls Bravo, and Wandering Son, takes the director’s helm at TROYCA. Ayumi Sekine, celebrated for her contributions to the IDOLiSH7 franchise and Technoroid Overmind, guides the series scripts.

Masako Matsumoto brings Takako Shimura’s (of Wandering Son and Aldnoah.Zero fame) original character designs to life through animation. Katsuhiko Takayama, renowned for his series composition work on Aldnoah.Zero and Two Car, provides project supervision. Meanwhile, Kana Utatane (notable for The Legendary Hero is Dead!) composes the evocative music.

The opening theme, “Tailwind,” is masterfully performed by VTuber Kanae.
