Exciting news for anime fans all over the world! The highly anticipated English dub cast and staff for Makoto Shinkai’s latest masterpiece, Suzume, has just been announced by Crunchyroll. The lead character, Suzume, will be voiced by none other than Nichole Sakura, known for her outstanding work in Star Wars: Visions and Superstore.

And the English dub will be directed by Bill Millsap at Bang Zoom! Studios, with Eric P. Sherman as the producer, alongside co-producers Mami Okada and Mio Moroe. Okada is also the casting director, and Jessica Peace will take charge as the production manager. Kana Ozaki, April Garner, and Yna Vergara will be the production coordinators, while Patrick Rodman will supervise the sound. Ben Harrington will handle the re-recording mix, and Krystal Holmes, Jonathan Brannen, and Kenneth Thompson will be the recording engineers. Ismael Yanez is the audio operations manager, Christopher March and Samuel Carrillo are the assistant engineers, and Megumi M. Tsuji is the video technician.

This makes it the ninth highest-grossing anime film of all time in Japan and the 15th highest-grossing film of all time in the country. In fact, it even surpassed Jujutsu Kaisen 0 at the box office.
The story of Suzume is truly captivating. It follows a girl named Suzume who possesses a mysterious ability to close doors that lead to other worlds. Together with Sota, a young man voiced by Hokuto Matsumura, she embarks on a journey to master her powers and uncover the secrets of her past. Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Wild Bunch International, and Eurozoom plan to release the film globally, except in Asia, starting on April 12. Crunchyroll will handle North American distribution, while Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will distribute the film in Latin America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Africa, and portions of Europe. Additionally, the film will be released in French- and German-speaking Europe by Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Wild Bunch International, and Eurozoom. In total, Suzume will be screened in 199 countries and territories.
