Farewell Nears: Chanyatsu Wraps Up Bokura no Kyōka-bu Manga

In the 17th release of Futabasha’s Manga Action magazine this year, it was announced on Wednesday that the manga “Bokura no Kyōka-bu” (translated as “We Are Team Development”) by Chanyatsu will reach its conclusion in the magazine’s upcoming 18th issue on September 5.

The story revolves around the development squad of Gran Blue Shizuoka, a professional soccer club competing in the N2 League.

Struggling with key player injuries, a deficiency in scoring prowess, and frequent coaching changes, the club finds itself on the brink of collapse.

In a surprising turn, the development team manager Ōgami decides to bring in Manabu Nakauma, a fervent supporter of Gran Blue Shizuoka, to join the development team. United in purpose, they embark on a journey to restore the fading soccer club to its former glory.

Chanyatsu initiated the manga’s serialization in Manga Action back in May of 2022. The first compiled volume of the manga was published by Futabasha in October 2022, followed by the release of the third volume on July 27.
