Koei Tecmo America unveiled a fresh trailer on Tuesday for the action RPG Fate/Remnant, offering a glimpse into the game’s narrative, exploration of the Edo-era township, and a captivating crafting minigame.
Gamers are free to roam the historic streets of Edo, engaging in shopping sprees at the enigmatic emporium, “Babyloni-ya,” using the currency earned from engaging side quests.
These valuable materials serve a dual purpose, enabling upgrades to the protagonist’s skill tree and those of Saber and other Rogue Servants.
Scheduled for release on September 28 in Japan and September 29 elsewhere, Fate/Remnant takes place during the 4th year of the Keian Era, Edo Period. The epoch is one of relative calm following a tempestuous and blood-soaked chapter. However, the curtain rises on a clash between seven pairs of Masters and Servants as the clandestine “Waxing Moon Ritual” commences. Amid this turmoil, Miyamoto Iori, a young resident of Asakusa, is ensnared in the vortex of Holy Grail War’s violence.
Illustrator Rei Wataru, renowned for their work on Fate/Grand Order -Epic of Remnant- Pseudo-Singularity III, where Miyamoto Musashi takes the spotlight, is at the helm of character design. Overseeing the game’s narrative are Hikaru Sakurai, known for the steampunk visual novel series, and Yuichiro Higashide, esteemed for their contributions to Tokyo Babel and Fate/Grand Order. Adding to the allure, the game’s introduction video is crafted by CloverWorks.
The game’s global launch encompasses platforms like PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC (via Steam), and Switch. In a collaborative effort, Type-Moon lends its supervision, while Aniplex lends its production expertise to the venture.
