In the November edition of Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine, readers bid farewell to Hidekaz Himaruya and Ken’ichi Sakura’s manga series, “Sōri Club” (Prime Minister Club).
The story revolves around Daigo Hinata, a high school student plagued by concerns about his future. One fateful day, an impeccably dressed gentleman escorts him to the depths of Japan’s National Diet Building, leading him to a luxurious room housing past prime ministers of Japan.
Daigo learns that he is destined to become the nation’s future prime minister and will receive guidance from some of Japan’s most accomplished statesmen.
Himaruya introduced “Sōri Club” in the pages of Jump SQ. magazine in January 2021. The manga’s sixth compiled volume was published by Shueisha on June 2.
Meanwhile, Himaruya’s “Hetalia World Stars” manga, the latest installment in the Hetalia franchise, made its debut on Shonen Jump+ coinciding with the online manga service’s launch.
After a hiatus in April 2018, the manga resumed serialization in April 2021. Shueisha released the seventh compiled volume of the series on June 2.
This manga adaptation also served as the inspiration for a new anime series that premiered in April 2021.
