First Promo Revealed for Kawagoe Boys Sing TV Anime – Debuting October

The original TV anime, Kawagoe Boys Sing, has unveiled its first full promotional video, signaling its highly anticipated debut in October.

The story revolves around Dei Tenshi, a former choir member who now isolates himself inside “Danbocchi,” his home, singing quietly in solitude. However, his life takes a wild turn when Haruo Hibiki, a former orchestra conductor with a troubled past, unexpectedly enters the scene during Tenshi’s regular school day.

Haruo, once a promising conductor until his expulsion from the orchestra due to behavioral issues, is given a shot at redemption. The condition for his return is forming a choir club at Kawagoe School and winning the prestigious “national boys choir competition” with a completely new group of boys. The pressure, passion, and Haruo’s relentless ego drive Tenshi and others to reluctantly join the choir club.

Haruo’s serious personality disorder, childishness, and inability to connect with others make him a challenging figure for the new choir members. However, amidst the difficulties, they become captivated by Haruo’s coaching prowess and find themselves drawn into the enchanting world of choir.

As they encounter formidable opponents in the competition, the Kawagoe School boys’ choir club must rise to the occasion. Follow this heartwarming comedy filled with energetic youth and soulful choir songs, as they strive to claim the number one spot in the fierce contest!

Jun Matsumoto, known for his work on Brothers Conflict, takes the director’s chair for the anime at evg, joining forces with Telecom Animation Film. Overseeing the series scripts is the esteemed “Kawagoe School Literary Club.” Ebimo, the talented artist behind High Card, contributes the original character designs, which are skillfully adapted for animation by Haru Watanabe, known for their work on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

The music comes to life through the collaboration of Yuki Kanesaka (known for Dr. Stone), Shin Rizumu, and Junko Yokoyama. Taking charge of sound direction at dugout is Hiromi Kikuta, who has previously worked on Haikyu!! Lastly, the anime’s opening theme song is performed by the gifted artist, Kaco.
