The upcoming anime adaptation of “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” is set to make history with a two-hour premiere special on September 29. This landmark event will air on Nippon Television Network Corporation’s (NTV) “Friday Road Show” – a first for a TV anime series, as the slot is traditionally dedicated to major film broadcasts.

Following the special premiere, the series will continue in October in a newly established anime timeslot on NTV, with the exact schedule to be confirmed at a later date. To heighten the anticipation, a new teaser trailer was unveiled alongside the premiere announcement.
The cast for this ambitious project, disclosed on June 14, features Nobuhiko Okamoto as Himmel, Hiroki Tōchi as Heiter, Yoji Ueda as Eisen, and Atsumi Tanezaki in the central role of Frieren.
The anime is based on a manga published in English by VIZ Media. It tells the captivating story of Frieren, who, after experiencing the fleeting nature of human life, sets out to fulfill her comrades’ last wishes, setting the stage for a new journey.
