GKIDS & Tubi TV Collaborates to Stream Award-Winning Animation

Award-winning animation producer and distributor GKIDS is collaborating with over-the-top streaming service Tubi to add even more animated features to the latter’s already extensive catalogue.

Both Tubi and GKIDS are known for their selection of major anime titles. GKIDS currently hosts theatrical screenings of Mamoru Hosoda’s BELLE and is the North American distributor for Studio Ghibli films. Tubi, on the other hand, currently has thousands of hours of animation – including films like Millennium Actress, Liz and the Blue Bird, and Penguin Highway.

So far we can expect to see Oscar®-nominated titles Ernest and Celestine and A Cat in Paris on Tubi, as well as Goya-winning Nocturna, Eleanor’s Secret and The Painting. Also included in the catalog will be the A Town Called Panic series and the Back to School Panic and Christmas Panic specials.

The GKIDS titles will be added to the Tubi catalog later this month, and more titles will be announced in the future. While that first batch of announcements hasn’t dipped into anime titles yet, this partnership means the door may be open for some seriously awesome movies to make their way to the streaming service.

Tubi is available on iOS, Android and OTT devices including smart TVs and on the Tubi website.
