In a delightful treat for fans of the Honkai: Star Rail universe, miHoYo’s animation branch, HoYoverse, has unveiled a captivating new anime short titled “Ichor of Two Dragons.” This intriguing short film centers on the character Dan Heng and offers enthusiasts an enticing glimpse into the latest narrative developments within the game.
The narrative unfolds with Dan Heng’s poignant reflections on his previous life as Dan Feng, a formidable Vidyadhara. The viewers are transported into a cherished memory where Dan Feng, together with Yinxing, Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng himself, Baiheng, and Jingliu, shared moments of camaraderie and joy.
However, Dan Feng’s past greatness had been marred by the corrupting influence of power, ultimately transforming him into a tyrant. His retribution came in the form of a molting rebirth, leading to his reincarnation as Dan Heng. This new existence was marked by imprisonment and exile from the XIanzhou realm. Yet, Dan Heng remains resolute in his determination to break free from the cycle of violence and forge a brighter future for himself and the world.

The anime short vividly portrays Dan Heng’s inner turmoil when confronted by his former self, Dan Feng. The conflict between the two is brought to life with breathtaking animation and stunning visuals, creating an epic and emotionally charged showdown.
“Ichor of Two Dragons” was brought to life by miHoYo Anime in collaboration with Fantasier Animation and Red Dog Culture House. This isn’t the first time HoYoverse has ventured into the realm of anime; they have previously delighted fans with animated shorts for Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact. Excitingly, Genshin Impact is also set to receive a full-fledged anime adaptation by the renowned Japanese animation studio Ufotable, known for their work on hits like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works.
