In an exciting update for anime fans, the creators of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” have announced that the upcoming arc, ‘Hashira Training Arc’ (Hashira Geiko-Hen), will be adapted into a television anime series. This news came as the 11th and final episode of the ‘Swordsmith Village Arc’ (Katanakaji no Sato-Hen) aired on Monday.

The highly anticipated ‘Hashira Training Arc’ is promising a fresh wave of excitement and suspense. Akira Matsushima, the chief animation designer and character designer, gave fans a sneak peek with the release of teaser visuals. Matsushima will continue to lend his creative touch to the new arc, along with the animation studio ufotable and director Haruo Sotozaki.
The ‘Swordsmith Village Arc’ premiered on Fuji TV on April 9 at 11:55 p.m. JST. Leading up to the premiere, specials of the previous arc, ‘Entertainment District Arc’, aired on April 1 and April 8. The anime has gained worldwide popularity, with Crunchyroll not only streaming it live but also working on English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Hindi dubs.
Fans were treated to theatrical screenings of selected episodes from the ‘Entertainment District Arc’ and the first episode of ‘Swordsmith Village Arc’, reaching audiences in over 95 countries.

The TV adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’, first hit the small screen in April 2019. Since then, it’s been licensed by Aniplex of America and streamed on various platforms, including Hulu, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block.
The franchise also took the cinematic route with “Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train”, which was screened in Japan in October 2020 and is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation. This was followed by a seven-episode arc adapting the film, premiering in October 2021, and then the ‘Entertainment District Arc’, which premiered in December 2021.
