On Wednesday, HIDIVE made an exciting announcement, revealing its acquisition of the television anime adaptation of Kotei Kobayashi’s light novel series, “The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess” (Hikikomari Kyūketsuki no Monmon). This much-anticipated series is set to grace screens during the fall 2023 season, with HIDIVE proudly taking up the mantle to stream it.

Yen Press holds the esteemed license for the novels, which delve into the intriguing tale of a reclusive vampire known as Terakomari, affectionately called Komari. She awakens from her slumber to an unexpected promotion to the position of an army commander.
However, her new squad is notorious for its rebellious nature. Komari, despite hailing from a prestigious vampire lineage, bears a deep aversion to blood, rendering her an embodiment of mediocrity – frail, uncoordinated, and inept in the realm of magic. With the odds stacked against her, she embarks on her journey to success, guided by her unwavering maid.
