In the upcoming November 16 issue of Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours GH magazine, manga author Hosana Tanaka, known for works like Ninja Girls, will unveil a new manga provisionally titled “Megami no Aether” (The Goddess Aether).
This story unfolds in a world where divine disputes over beauty escalate into a cataclysmic conflict within the human realm. Itaka, the crown prince of a kingdom, is drawn into this turmoil when his mother is abducted and teeters on the brink of death.
Now, with the assistance of a goddess, Itaka embarks on a quest for vengeance.
Tanaka’s most recent manga, “Kawashima Yoshiko wa Otoko ni Naritai” (Yoshiko Kawashima Wants to Become a Man), made its debut in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in October 2019.
The series concluded with its third volume in February 2021. The manga artist initiated the “Holy Corpse Rising” (Seigai no Majo) series in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine back in October 2014, which saw its seventh and final volume released in October 2018.
Seven Seas acquired the licensing rights and published all seven volumes in English.
Notably, Del Rey Manga initially licensed Tanaka’s “Ninja Girls” manga for North American readers in 2008, releasing four volumes before Kodansha Comics assumed responsibility for Del Rey’s manga titles in 2010, bringing the series to its completion.
It’s worth mentioning that Tanaka was once the apprentice of Takashi Shiina, renowned for works like “GS Mikami Gokuraku Daisakusen!!” and “Zettai Karen Children.”
