Hunter x Hunter Manga Resumes After Almost 4 Years on October 24

Yoshihiro Togashi’s popular manga “HUNTER x HUNTER” will resume serialization in the serialized magazine “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha) No. 47, which will be released on October 24th. Since September 2018, serialization will resume for the first time in about 3 years and 11 months. 

The 47th issue will include episode 391, in which the mafia conflict intensifies behind the battle for succession to the throne. “HUNTER x HUNTER” started serialization in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha) in 1998. Although it was serialized while taking a break, the serialization was suspended in March 2012 when the “election edition” following the “ant edition” was completed and a new episode had just begun. 

Serialization resumed in June 2014 after about two years and three months but was suspended again in August of the same year due to the author’s lower back pain. Serialization resumed in April 2016 for the first time in about 1 year and 8 months but was suspended in July of the same year. 

From July 2016 to June 2017, from September 2017 to January 2018, and from April to September 2018, it has been on hiatus repeatedly. It has been on hiatus since November 2018, and there are many voices wishing for a resumption of serialization. t is also a hot topic that the latest 37 volumes of comics, which will be the first new book in about 4 years, will be released on November 4th.
