During the “Fantasia Bunko Daikanshasai Online 2023” livestream event, Kadokawa unveiled exciting news about the development of a new anime adaptation for Miku and illustrator Rein Kuwashima’s light novel series, “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” (Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru).
The event, however, kept the format of this upcoming work under wraps.

The initial anime installment premiered on April 6 and comprised a 13-episode run. Crunchyroll provided a simultaneous stream of the series during its airing, offering an English dub option as well.
Yen Press is actively releasing the English versions of both the light novels and the manga adaptation, and they describe the narrative as follows:
“A door to another world beckons a young boy who has endured a lifetime of relentless bullying. This alternate reality bestows upon him an array of incredible abilities, including cheat skills and a portal facilitating travel between his original and newfound worlds.
Can this downtrodden student, previously regarded as a class outcast, reverse his fortunes in his own realm?”
It’s worth noting that this book series boasts a remarkable global circulation of 3 million copies. The 14th light novel was published in Japan on June 20, while the fifth volume of the manga hit the shelves on August 25. The franchise also features three spinoff novels.
In addition to the literary and animated adaptations, the series has branched out into the gaming realm with a browser game entitled “Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru – Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta: Parallel Universe.”

This MMORPG had a worldwide release available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean on the G123 platform in July. The game follows a free-to-play model, offering optional in-game purchases.
