On Saturday, the verified Twitter handle for Gekijо̄ban IDOLiSH7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD, the theatrical anime concert of the IDOLiSH7 series, joyfully declared that the movie has amassed a remarkable sum of 700 million yen (approximately US$5.02 million). Additionally, within a span of 22 days since its release, the film successfully sold a staggering 440,000 tickets. This significant achievement aligns perfectly with the franchise’s celebration of its eighth anniversary on June 10th.

The captivating anime concert debuted in Japan on May 20, raking in a staggering 220 million yen (equivalent to approximately US$1.58 million) during its inaugural weekend.

The 16 members of the IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER, Re: vale, and ŹOOĻ units reprise their roles from the anime series and games in the upcoming film. There are two distinct variations of the screenings, each with different setlists. The initial screening, known as “Day 1,” took place on May 20, followed by the premiere of the “Day 2” version on May 21. Starting from May 22, theatergoers were given the freedom to choose which version they preferred to watch. Moreover, the film will also be showcased in Japan with 4DX, MX4D, and Dolby Cinema screenings, which are scheduled to commence on June 24.
Hiroshi Nishikiori, known for his work on Argonavis from BanG Dream!, and Kensuke Yamamoto, the VFX art director of Trigun Stampede, collaborated as directors for the anime produced by Orange. The screenplay was skillfully crafted by Bunta Tsushimi, the brilliant creator behind IDOLiSH7. Arina Tanemura, renowned for her contributions to IDOLiSH7 and Full Moon o Sagashite, lent her artistic touch to the original character design. The characters were brought to life by the talented Hitomi Miyazaki, while Eiji Inomoto, the CG chief director of Trigun Stampede, oversaw the impressive computer-generated visuals.
