The official website for the television anime of The IDOLM@STER Million Live! franchise has revealed a new visual and the anime’s television premiere date, scheduled for October 8. The anime will debut on TV Tokyo and five other affiliates at 10:00 a.m. on October 8 (9:00 p.m. EDT on October 7), with subsequent airings on BS11 on October 9, BS NTV on October 12, and AT-X on October 13.

Prior to the anime’s premiere, a special program featuring the cast and producer Wakako Hazama will air on October 1, providing insights into the anime’s setting and characters.

Currently, the anime is hosting theatrical preview screenings in Japan, split into three three-week runs. The first part ran from August 18 to September 7, followed by the second part from September 8 to September 28, and concluding with the final part from September 29 to October 19.

Genta Nakamura portrays the new idol producer for 765 Production, with Kenji Akabane returning as the chief producer, reprising his role from the 2011 The IDOLM@STER anime series. Houchu Ohtsuka also returns from the 2011 anime as Junjirō Takagi, the unseen president of 765 Production. Juri Takita reprises her role as veteran production assistant Kotori Otonashi, while Chika Anzai returns as newbie production assistant Misaki Aoba from The IDOLM@STER Million Live! game.
The anime will depict the growth of Mirai Kasuga and the other idols as they navigate the early stages of their theater careers. Shinya Watada is directing the anime at Shirogumi Inc., with Yoichi Kato overseeing and crafting the series scripts. Lantis is handling the music production, while Bandai Namco Studio collaborates on the project, with Bandai Namco Entertainment credited as the original creator.
Shirogumi Inc. created a video when Bandai Namco Entertainment first announced the television anime adaptation during the third anniversary of The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days in 2020.
The IDOLM@STER Million Live! game, initially released in 2013 as a spinoff of the main The IDOLM@STER series, featured the 765 Pro characters alongside 37 new characters. Players could manage their idol production company and nurture their idols’ skills. The game concluded its service in March 2018.

Following this, Bandai Namco Entertainment launched a successor titled The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days for iOS and Android devices in June 2017. Set in a 765 Pro live theater, the game’s stages include the theater’s office, waiting room, and greenroom. Players can interact more with idols by touching the screen, and the game offers rhythm games during solo and unit concerts.
