Crunchyroll recently introduced all 39 episodes of the anime adaptation of Natsuko Heiuchi’s Offside manga this past Thursday.

The anime had its run from May 2001 to January 2002.

Seiji Okuda held the directorial reins for the anime, while Takao Koyama shouldered the responsibility for series composition.
Mari Tominaga along with Yutaka Arai were the creative minds behind character design, while Mitsuharu Miyamae contributed as the art director. Handling the musical score was Masayuki Sakamoto.

This series stands as a reimagining of a 1993 original video anime derived from Heiuchi’s manga. Heiuchi introduced the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine back in 1987.

The manga’s serialization concluded in 1992, with Kodansha ultimately issuing 29 compiled volumes for the work.
