Japanese Film Festival is going to start in India from 4th November to 11th December. In the celebration of a 70-year relationship between India & Japan PVR Cinemas will screen films by popular anime director Makoto Shinkai. On Thursday, the official Facebook account of the Japanese Film Festival (or JFF) makes an announcement regarding the “Japan Film & Music Festival.”
In that announcement, they reveal that multiple shows are going to be held in 4 cities in India. If you live in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, or Bengaluru then make sure to attend these shows. Below you will get the schedule of upcoming shows in India:
- Delhi: 4th Nov to 6th Nov – PVR Cinemas, Select CITYWALK
- Mumbai: 11th Nov to 13th Nov – PVR ICON: Infinity Andheri (W)
- Chennai: 25th Nov to 27th Nov – PBR (Escape)
- Bengaluru: 9th Dec to 11th Dec – PVR (Orion)

The organizer of most of the Japanese events in India is The Japan Foundation. They host many bit events across big or metro cities. The last event was before the pandemic when they organized JFF2019 in 7 different cities of India, where they screened one of the most popular anime movies of all time.
