The anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima’s manga “Rent-A-Girlfriend” (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) unveiled the premiere date of July 7th and released a captivating visual showcasing “Sumi Sakurasawa’s date” for the highly anticipated third season.

The third season of the anime is set to premiere on July 7 within the Super Animeism block, airing on MBS, TBS, and 26 other affiliated channels. Crunchyroll will globally stream the season, excluding Asia.
The returning cast for the anime consists of:
- Kazuya Kinoshita, portrayed by Shun Horie
- Chizuru Mizuhara, played by Sora Amamiya
- Sumi Sakurasawa, voiced by Rie Takahashi
- Mami Nanami, portrayed by Aoi Yūki

Mini Yaemori, a cosplayer and fellow university student of Kazuya and Chizuru, will be voiced by Yū Serizawa.
Shin’ya Une, renowned for directing episodes of “Rent-A-Girlfriend,” takes the helm as the new season’s director at TMS Entertainment, collaborating with Studio Comet. Mitsutaka Hirota, known for works like “Anime-Gataris,” “Nanbaka,” and “The Prince of Tennis II,” returns to pen the series’ scripts. The talented Kanna Hirayama, recognized for her work on “Selection Project,” once again lends her skills to character design. The accomplished HYADAIN rejoins the team to compose the captivating music. The returning staff includes sound director Hajime Takakuwa, art director Minoru Akiba, color key artist Fumiko Ishiguro, compositing director of photography Shintaro Sakai, and editor Yumiko Nakaba, ensuring a seamless continuation of the series.
The anime’s second season debuted in July 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming it concurrently. The first season originally premiered in July 2020 as part of the Animeism programming block and consisted of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll globally streamed the anime, excluding Asia.
Kinoshita Kazuya, a 20-year-old college student, finds himself labeled as a failure. Fuelled by spite, he devises a unique strategy to secure a girlfriend. This captivating tale originated as a manga series created by Miyajima, which made its debut in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in July 2017. The manga’s impressive 30th volume was released on February 17. Kodansha USA Publishing has also been responsible for bringing this manga to English-speaking readers.
Furthermore, the manga’s immense popularity led to the creation of a live-action series, which premiered in July 2022.
