Jump Force Adds DLC Character Yoruichi from Bleach

(Last Updated On: December 20, 2020)

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a brief trailer on Saturday for the cross-fighting game Jump Force that shows a preview of Bleach’s Yoruichi Shihōin DLC character. The character will join the game in early 2021. Yoruichi Shihōin is a supporting protagonist in the anime/manga series Bleach. She is the former captain of the 2nd Division of the Gotei 13, as well as the former commander of the Onmitsukidō.

The game will also add the character Giorno Giovanna from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Bandai Namco Entertainment previously stated that the “work in progress” character Giorno is still in development, and that the final version may differ from what the company accidentally released to a small number of players due to a glitch last month.

The game’s Character Pass 2 includes the already released characters Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia, Meruem from Hunter X Hunter, and Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. Meruem and Hiei will debut on the Nintendo Switch version of the game in early 2021.

Jump Force Deluxe Edition, the Nintendo Switch version of the game, launched on August 28 in the Americas and Europe, and in Japan and Asia on August 27. The Switch version allows local cooperative mode with two connected consoles and offline battles that allow up to six people to play with one console. The Switch version includes all nine characters from the game’s first Character Pass, and the game’s second Character Pass is also available separately.

Spike Chunsoft developed the game, which was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in February 2019 in the Americas, Europe, and Japan.

Previously released DLC characters include Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia, Majin Buu from Dragon Ball Z, Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh !, All Might from My Hero Academia, Biscuit Krueger from Hunter X Hunter, Madara Uchiha from Naruto, Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Trafalgar Law from One Piece and Kane and Galena (original characters designed by Akira Toriyama). Paid DLC sets include avatar outfits and abilities along with DLC characters. The game’s first character pass allows players to access the first nine DLC characters.
