The official website for “Kaina of the Great Snow Sea” (Ōyukiumi no Kaina), the television anime created by Tsutomu Nihei and Polygon Pictures, known for their work on “BLAME!” and “Knights of Sidonia,” has unveiled a special video for the upcoming film sequel, “Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage” (Ōyukiumi no Kaina: Hoshi no Kenja).

This captivating video features the film’s theme song, “Gekkōyoku” (Bathing in Moonlight), performed by yorushika, perfectly synchronized with stunning footage from the film, accompanied by the poignant lyrics.

Japanese audiences eagerly await the film’s premiere on October 13, while fans in the United States were treated to an exclusive showing at Anime Expo on July 2. Additionally, a special advance screening with the cast will take place at Tokyo’s TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku on October 8.
In this exciting installment, Natsuki Hanae takes on the role of Byōzan, a compelling new character with a mission to dismantle the enigmatic Orbital Spire Trees.
The television anime series made its debut on Fuji TV’s Ultra+ block in Japan on January 12, later expanding its reach to audiences through Kansai TV, Tokai TV, TV Nishinippon, Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting Co., Ltd., and BS Fuji.
