Manga creator Hiroyuki confirmed on Twitter Tuesday that his Kanojo mo Kanojo (She’s a Girlfriend too) manga will have a television anime adaptation that will premiere in 2021. Hiroyuki posted an image for the announcement. Kanojo mo Kanojo is Hiroyuki’s fourth work to receive an anime. Hiroyuki is the younger brother of manga creator Kōji Megumi (Bloody Monday).
Thanks to you, it is the 4th animation. I will continue to do my best to make the manga interesting! Announcement illustrations so far. Nostalgic….Above Tweet’s Google Translation (original tweet – link)
Hiroyuki launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen magazine on March 4.
The “neo-romantic comedy” manga centers on Naoya, a first-year high school student. After he confesses to Saki, the girl he has liked for a long time, and they decide to start dating, Naoya’s life is full of happiness. However, one day a beautiful young woman named Nagisa also confesses to Naoya. Naoya and Nagisa get along right away, and he tells Nagisa that he already has a girlfriend. She vows to confess to him again one day when he suddenly proposes that they go talk to Saki together about him dating the two of them at the same time. Saki and Nagisa hit it off right away, and although Saki is angry and reluctant at first with the idea, she eventually agrees.
