The official website for the second season of the anime adaptation of Yabako Sandrovich’s manga, “Kengan Ashura,” released a captivating teaser promotional video on Thursday. The video unveils that the highly anticipated anime will make its debut on Netflix on September 21, while also offering a thrilling preview of the opening theme song, “RED,” performed by the talented metal band SiM.

Prior to its global release, the anime will receive an exclusive early screening at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo on September 10. Netflix, known for its expansive reach, will distribute the sequel to fans worldwide. This second season promises to showcase the intense finals of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, serving as the climactic conclusion to the original story.

The anime originally premiered on Netflix globally in July 2019, captivating audiences with its gripping narrative. Subsequently, the second part, comprising episodes 13 to 24, premiered in October of the same year, continuing to captivate fans with its exhilarating storyline.
The world premiere of the anime took place at Anime Expo in July 2018, generating significant anticipation among viewers. Sandrovich’s manga, which won a fan voting contest in 2015, served as the foundation for this highly anticipated adaptation.

Under the direction of Seiji Kishi, known for his work on “Danganronpa The Animation” and “Yuki Yuna Is a Hero,” the anime was brought to life by Larx Entertainment. Series composition was skillfully handled by Makoto Uezu, renowned for his contributions to “Akame ga KILL!” and “The Heroic Legend of Arslan.” The characters were beautifully designed by Kazuaki Morita, known for his work on “Tsuki ga Kirei” and “Assassination Classroom.” The captivating musical score was composed by Yasuharu Takanashi from Team-MAX, recognized for his work on “Fairy Tail” and “Naruto Shippūden.” The theme song “King & Ashley” was performed by MY FIRST STORY, while the talented hip hop crew BAD HOP delivered the anime’s electrifying ending theme song, “Born This Way.”
Sandrovich first launched “Kengan Ashura” with Daromeon’s stunning illustrations in the Manga ONE app in 2012, concluding the series in August 2018. However, the manga embarked on a new arc, debuting in the Manga ONE app in January 2019, much to the delight of fans.
Within the manga’s gripping story, businesses and merchants engage in high-stakes battles, wagering significant sums of money to hire combatants for intense unarmed hand-to-hand fighting matches. These Kengan competitions, which originated during the Edo period, offer the opportunity for merchants to settle disputes with one another.
