Launch of 4 Upcoming Naruto Anime Episodes Pushed Back

The Naruto anime franchise’s official website announced on Tuesday that the premiere of four “all-new” anime episodes will be delayed to enhance their quality, with the anime’s staff set to reveal the new premiere date soon.

During this interval, selected episodes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be re-aired. The episodes were initially slated to debut on September 3 and air weekly for four consecutive weeks.

These episodes mark the anime’s 20th anniversary, commemorating its October 2002 debut.

Naruto Anime Episodes

FLOW will present the 20-year anniversary rendition of their song “GO!!!” as the opening theme, along with a cover of Orange Range’s “Viva Rock” as the concluding theme.

The Naruto franchise encompasses various television anime, animated films, and original video anime. The original Naruto TV anime was broadcasted from 2002 to 2007. The sequel, Naruto Shippūden, ran from 2007 to 2017.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, a sequel manga by Ukyō Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto, premiered in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016, running monthly until transferring to Shueisha’s V Jump magazine in July 2019. Masashi Kishimoto, the original Naruto manga author, took over as the writer in November 2020. After a hiatus in April, the manga resumed on August 21 with its “second part,” titled Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime debuted on TV Tokyo in April 2017. The anime’s “Part I” concluded with episode 293 on March 26, paving the way for the green-lit “Part II” of the series.
