Makoto Shinkai Film Festival Hits 100+ Screens Nationwide

In a fitting tribute to the multi-award-winning visionary animator and director Makoto Shinkai, PVRINOX Pictures is set to host the highly anticipated Shinkai Festival on May 19th across India. The event comes on the heels of Shinkai’s visit to India last month and aims to cater to the rising demand of anime enthusiasts in the country.

The festival will feature five of Shinkai’s most captivating masterpieces, promising a unique cinematic journey through enchanting worlds. The selected films, including “Your Name”, “Weathering With You”, “Children Who Chase Lost Voices”, “5 Centimeters Per Second”, and “Suzume”, will explore various themes of love, sacrifice, human spirit, and fantasy, taking the audience on a magical voyage.

The Makoto Shinkai Film Festival will play across 100+ screens PAN India starting this Friday. The five selected films will be showcased at multiplex chains of PVR-Inox and Cinepolis on a daily basis for the whole week, making it an event of grand proportions.

The festival will take place in multiple cities across India, including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Gandhinagar, ALLAHABAD, DEHRADUN, DELHI, KANPUR, LUCKNOW, NOIDA, AMRITSAR, CHANDIGARH, Faridabad, GURGAON, JALANDHAR, LUDHIANA, MOHALI, BANGALORE, MYSORE, MANGALORE, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag, Aurangabad, Royapettah, Anna Nagar, ECR, Velachery, OMR, Coimbatore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, KOTA, Jaipur, Udaipur, NAGPUR, RAIPUR, Indore, GWALIOR, Kolkata, PATNA, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, ROURKELA, and Guwahati.
