Makoto Shinkai’s New Anime Film Suzume no Tojimari is Set to Premiere in Fall 2022

Suzume no Tojimari is the newest film by the creator of Your Name and Weathering With You – Makoto Shinkai. On Wednesday, he announced its next move premiere date during a press conference at Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. Well, the movie is set to release in 2022, in the Fall Season. 

Furthermore, It’s been a month since the rumours about completing the Storyboard of Suzume no Tojimari spread among the fans. But fans did not know about the movie or anything else related to Makoto Shinkai. However, the best thing is Shinkai-san already announced the schedule before the official announcement.

Here is a quick synopsis of the Suzume no Tojimari anime film by the official release: 

Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who lives in a quiet town in Kyushu, meets a young man on a journey “looking for doors.” Suzume follows him from a ruin to a dilapidated building in the mountains and finds a free-standing, undisturbed door t as if “it” alone were saved from devastation. Suzume feels drawn by an invisible power and reaches out to the door… Soon, doors all over Japan start opening one after another. The doors that opened must be closed to shut out the calamity that lays on the other side.

Suzume no Tojimari

“Modern Adventure Story” and “It should be a fun movie” are comments of Shinkai-san on his upcoming movie Suzume no Tojimari. They tweeted about this which also say it contains action elements across Japan. 

Shinkai-san is a great creator who is known for his two one of the best anime films – Your Name and Wheatheing With You. His stories have the most engaging storyline along with super high-quality animation.
