The movie version of “Mononoke” will be produced. Scheduled to be released in 2023, a special video and a teaser visual have been released. This was announced today at the event “15th Anniversary Festival” held at the multi-theater on the 1st floor of Fuji Television Network, Tokyo on June 18th.
The movie version is a completely new episode, and in the special news video, you can enjoy the newly recorded voice of the drug seller played by Takahiro Sakurai, in addition to the animation cut drawn by director Kenji Nakamura.

Along with this announcement, it was also reported that the movie version of support crowdfunding will start on June 24th. Furthermore, the first stage of “Mononoke” has been decided. Also, today, a visual public project drawn by 15 artists named after the 15th anniversary of the anime “Mononoke” has started on the official anime Twitter (@anime_mononoke).
In the first installment, Yaeko Ninagawa, who was in charge of the canonicalization of “Mononoke”, appears. In addition, all 3 episodes of “Bakeneko” and all 12 episodes of the anime “Monono Kai” from the anime “Kai ~ ayakashi ~” will be delivered at once, the 15th-anniversary campaign at the Noitamina shop, the holding of an online exhibition, and the WEB Zenon editorial department.

Information such as comical serialization has also been announced. “Mononoke”, which was broadcast on Fuji TV’s “Noitamina” frame and others from July 2007, is an adventure story in which a drug-seller confronts “Mononoke”.
Produced as a sequel to the episode “Bakeneko” of the “Kai-ayakashi-” series broadcast in the same frame, it attracted attention for its stylish character design and innovative images that combine CG processing such as the texture of Japanese paper.
