Muse Asia announced Monday that it will add the television anime adaptation of Strike Tanaka’s Servamp manga. The first episode will be available on Tuesday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8, with new episodes at the same time every day until September 19.
The anime premiered in Japan in July 2016. Animax Asia streamed the anime in Southeast Asia in June 2017 and describes the anime:
Sixteen-year-old Mahiru Shirota lives a simple life and doesn’t like everything that is difficult, but when he rescues a black cat named Kuro, his life suddenly gets complicated.
Kuro turns out not to be an ordinary feline but a Servamp, a vampire servant who finds himself in the middle of a sibling rivalry.
In an instant, Mahiru is involved in a war between vampire brothers and is drawn into a world completely unknown to him, realizing that his life, once simple, will never be so.
The anime production brought together the main staff and anime studio Aoharu x Machinegun. Itto Sara, who served in a supervisory position at Aoharu x Machinegun, served as Servamp’s chief director. Hideaki Nakano directed the anime at Brains Base. Kenji Konuta was in charge of series composition and Junko Yamanaka designed the characters for animation.
The anime also received an anime film that premiered in Japan in April 2017. Odex screened the film in Southeast Asia.
