On Friday, Crunchyroll made an exciting announcement: they will commence streaming the English dubbed version of the TV anime adaptation of Nazuna Miki and Subachi’s light novel series, “My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1” (Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyō desu), on Saturday, coinciding with the anime’s premiere.
The English cast includes:
- Kelsey Maher as Emily
- Dusty Feeney as Olga
- Patrick Mealey as Ryota
- Kelly Greenshield as Eyna
- Trisha Mellon as Eve
- Brittany Lauda as Erza
- Major Attaway as Orton
Mike McFarland is helming the English dub, with Audrey Drake Rigg penning the script. Victor Acosta serves as the ADR engineer, while Nealy Malley handles the ADR mix. The anime is scheduled to debut on Saturday on Tokyo MX and BS NTV, followed by its airing on AT-X on Sunday. Crunchyroll will simultaneously stream the anime as it is broadcasted.

Notably, Miyako Nishida, Eri Kojima, Kaho Deguchi, and Yūko Ōba serve as the main character designers, lending their talents from renowned series such as “In Another World With My Smartphone,” “In the Land of Leadale,” “If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord,” and “I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss,” respectively.

The captivating compositions for the series are skillfully crafted by Endō. “Chase Me,” the opening theme song, showcases the enchanting vocals of Nora from Konya, Ano Machi Kara. Meanwhile, Airi Miyakawa graces the ending theme song, “Tamborine no Naru Oka” (The Tambourine-Ringing Hill), with her mesmerizing voice.

The journey of this extraordinary series began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Be Novelists) website in February 2017, where Miki made her debut. Subsequently, in September 2017, Miki and Subachi launched the light novel series. Fans were further delighted when Mawata’s manga adaptation premiered on Kodansha’s “Suiyōbi no Sirius” website in May 2018.
Recognizing the immense popularity of the series, Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed both the light novel series and the manga adaptation. Described as a thrilling tale, the story revolves around Ryota Sato, whose life takes an unexpected turn as he finds himself transported to another world. His encounter with the courageous and beautiful adventurer Emily Brown leads him into a world centered on battling monsters and reaping the rewards of their drops, be it food, money, or valuable items. Initially lacking in skills, Ryota’s fortune changes when he discovers his unique ability to obtain rare drops. Yet, as the story unfolds, one wonders if his newfound luck truly brings him the happiness he seeks. With over 1.1 million copies in circulation, this series has captivated readers worldwide.
